Overview
JurisAide (“JurisAide,” “we,” “us”) provides practice-management software to law firms. This policy explains how we handle information you and your firm provide, including information relating to your clients and matters.
Attorney–client privilege & confidentiality
We understand that matter data, documents, and communications stored in JurisAide may be subject to the attorney–client privilege and the attorney work-product doctrine. We treat all such content as confidential. JurisAide acts as a service provider/processor to your firm; your firm remains the custodian of client data and is responsible for compliance with its professional and ethical obligations, including applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.
Accessing JurisAide does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and JurisAide, and nothing in the service waives any privilege held by your firm or its clients.
AI-generated content
JurisAide uses artificial intelligence to help draft documents and other work product. Content relevant to a matter may be transmitted to our AI providers solely to generate output for your firm. AI-drafted documents are drafts only and require review, verification, and approval by a licensed attorney before any use or filing. We do not use your confidential matter content to train third-party foundation models, and we configure AI processing for zero-retention where the provider supports it.
Information we process
Firm and user account details (via our authentication provider), matter and client records you enter, documents you upload or generate, time entries, billing information (via our payment processor), and usage and security logs.
Security & retention
We encrypt data in transit and at rest and enforce role-based access controls. We retain data for as long as your firm maintains its account, and delete or return data on request consistent with your recordkeeping obligations. See our Security page for details.
ABA & regulatory compliance
JurisAide is designed to support firms in meeting obligations under the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, including the duties of competence (Rule 1.1, including technology competence), confidentiality (Rule 1.6), and supervision (Rules 5.1–5.3). Your firm is responsible for ensuring its use of JurisAide complies with the rules of every jurisdiction in which it practices.
